• We seek the future of technology so that we may steward its understanding to our community.

• We believe that for people to comfortably find and choose their place in Information Technology, they need a place to safely explore several options.

• A code of conduct is a required statement, making our intentions explicit, and serving as a key mechanism of inclusion.

Mission

What are we doing today? Should be a statement encapsulating the manifesto in relation to those it affects.

• Each year we hold our annual NERD Summit. Building up to the summit we collaborate with the local community, creating a diverse curriculum for relevant skill building.

Vision

If we follow our mission, how do we see that affecting the future?

• NERD seeks to create positive and supportive learning opportunities for people who work, or want to work in web and related technology. Too many smart, passionate people have been traditionally excluded from tech careers, and we're changing that.
